Recapping Week 21 of the NIHL
There was 11 games in action this weekend and here is your mini review of each game.

Friday 31st January:

The Leeds Knights made a fantastic comeback against the Sheffield Steeldogs. The Dogs went 3-0 up in 11 minutes but the Knights battled back and scored five in the third period to win 7-3

Saturday 1st February:

The Berkshire Bees secured their first away win since October with an 4-3 overtime victory at the Link Centre against the Swindon Wildcats. Liam Morris scored the overtime winner despite the Wildcats equalising with less than three minutes to go. 

The Telford Tigers got a massive 4-1 victory against the Bristol Pitbulls with Skoleski scoring twice in the game. Walinski scored on his home debut but that was the only goal which the Pitbulls could conjure up and they lose their only game of the weekend. 

The Sheffield Steeldogs bounced back from Friday with big 6-2 victory against their northern rivals Hull Seahawks. Sam Tremblay scoring twice whilst defenseman Ben Morgan and Jonathan Kirk also on the scoresheet.

The MK Lightning ran away comfortable winners in their 8-0 victory over the Solway Sharks. Seven different players on the scoresheet and a shut out for Will Kerlin for the Lightning. 

The Romford Raiders went to Peterborough and beat the Phantoms 8-4! Two shorthanded goals for the Raiders with Reed Morison having a three point night. Luke Clarke stepping in for Hayden Lavinge for the Phantoms. 

Sunday 2nd February:

The Leeds Knights hosted the Swindon Wildcats and after a close battle the Knights came out on top 4-2 winners with Buesa getting the empty net goal. This win gives the Knights a four-point weekend and keeps them just one point behind the Lightning. 

The Romford Raiders completed their four-point weekend with a 5-2 victory over the Solway Sharks. Sylvester with a pair of goals. Morison having another three-point night totalling six across the weekend. 

The MK Lightning completed their four-point weekend in dramatic style with a 6-5 overtime victory. Overtime winning goal from Mack Stewart and two goals on the night for Patrik Forsberg. 

The Sheffield Steelodgs came from 3-0 down to take it to penalty shots against the Berkshire Bees where Sam Tremblay scored the only shootout goal to take the extra point. A good four-points after their loss on Friday for the Steeldogs. 

The Telford Tigers also secured a four-point weekend in a dramatic game against the Peterborough Phantoms. The Tigers taking a 5-0 lead but the Phantoms battled back to make it 5-5. However Canadian Eric Henderson scored twice in the last 10 minutes to seal a 7-5 victory.
