After reviewing all available video footage, it has been adjudicated that the penalty assessed at 49.03 is incorrect, a 5 Minute major penalty for fighting can only be called under IHUK guidelines for fighting as equal and willing combatants.
In this situation #15 is clearly the aggressor in this fight
46.4 The “Aggressor” in an altercation shall be the Player who continues to throw punches in an attempt to inflict punishment on their opponent who is in a defenceless position or who is an “unwilling combatant”
A Player who is deemed to be the “Aggressor” of an altercation shall be assessed a Minor Penalty (“Aggressor”) plus a Major Penalty (“Fighting”) and an automatic Game Misconduct Penalty (2’+5’+GMP).
The player receives 5 penalty points and is free to play subject to accumulated penalty points.

Rule 46 – Fighting @ 49:03
After reviewing all available video footage, it has been adjudicated that the penalty assessed at 49.03 is incorrect, a 5 Minute major penalty for fighting can only be called under IHUK guidelines for fighting as equal and willing combatants.
The player was not a willing combatant in an altercation, and it is clear from the video that the player did not want to fight, continue to fight or prolong the fight, as such the correct call under Rule 46.6 Defender- Unwilling combatant would be a 2 minute minor penalty Roughing as the criteria for “fighting back” with a few punches is not fulfilled.
The 5 Minute penalty and 1 penalty point will be removed from his playing record.
Peterborough Phantoms #35 Joseph Gretton
Rule 46 – Fighting @ 50:34
The penalty assessed at 50:34, a 2 +5+ game misconduct Rule 46 fighting- Aggressor Is correct.
Player #35 was clearly the aggressor in a fight situation and was assessed a 2+5+Gm for being the aggressor in a fight where the other player was an unwilling combatant.
For these actions the player will receive 5 penalty points.
The player is free to play subject to accumulated penalty points.
