Top 3 NIHL Players of Week 12

Top 3 NIHL Players of Week 12
With week 12 in the books, here are our three key players that stood out this weekend.

1. Marcel Balaz - Berkshire Bees

Despite a tough weekend for the Bees who were very short benched, Marcel had a very good weekend. On Saturday he scored four goals and added two assists in their 8-6 defeat to the Sheffield Steeldogs. Then on Sunday he added another goal and two assists totalling to nine points. With the Bees only having 11 skaters, he also clocked over 30 minutes in ice time and has played a big role for them in getting points this season.

2. Glenn Billing - Swindon Wildcats

The Wildcats made two comeback wins this weekend to secure a four-point weekend and Glenn was a big part of those comebacks. On Saturday when the Cats trailed, he scored two big goals to get them back into the game. Then on Sunday he also scored another big goals to help them comeback and win against the Telford Tigers. He also added an assists on top of his three goals.

3. Hayden Lavinge - Peterborough Phantoms

The Phantoms only had one game this weekend at home against the Sheffield Steeldogs and Hayden Lavinge was the star of the show as he had a 42 save shutout. Very impressive to stop the Steeldogs who just put eight past the Bees the previous night. The Phantoms had a tough weekend before this game so it was big for Lavinge and the team to bounce back with a massive win.

Honorable Mentions:

On Saturday captain Tanner Butler scored twice in the Pitbulls 6-5 win over the Seahawks. Kieran Brown had a three point night in the Leeds Knights only game of the weekend. Arseneau scored twice including the overtime winner against the Lightning on Sunday.
