The Game Review Panel have adjudicated and reviewed the following penalties from Sunday 12th January 2025 game play as follows:

The following penalties has been reviewed and the player is available to play in the next game (subject to the teams reviewing accumulated player personal penalty points):

Romford Raiders #8 Bradley Taylor

Rule 46 – Fighting @16.56

The 5 Minute penalty assessed at 16.56 for Fighting, is correct and meets the requirements of the IHUK Rule 46 in house Rules for equal and willing combatants

Player receives 1 penalty point and is free to play subject to accumulated penalty points.

Sheffield Steeldogs #22 Ollie Turner

The 5 Minute penalty assessed at 16.56 for Fighting, is correct and meets the requirements of the IHUK Rule 46 in house Rules for equal and willing combatants

Player receives 1 penalty point and is free to play subject to accumulated penalty points.

 Peterborough Phantoms #91 Nathan Salem

The 5 minute penalty assessed at 26.14 meets the requirements of Rule 41.3 Boarding

Player guilty of “boarding” an opponent, and who recklessly endangers the fouled Player in a way that at the discretion of the Referee such Player would not be sufficiently sanctioned by imposing a Minor Penalty

Player receives 1 penalty point and is free to play subject to accumulated penalty points

Sheffield Steeldogs #43 Samual Cooper

The penalty assessed at 40.28 a 5 minute Major Rule 41 Boarding is insufficient and is upgraded to a 5 minute + Game Misconduct

Play is in the attacking zone Romford #5 collects the puck and is skating towards the rear of the goal net, and while controlling the puck he turns towards his left opening up his back towards the incoming Sheffield #43, who checks #5 in the back, which then throws him violently towards the boards with the head /neck area being the first point of contact with the boards.

This cannot be a check from behind as the checked player #5 turned his back placing him in a vulnerable position immediately prior to the check. However, #43 made no effort to change his course or attempt to protect the player and the contact, check, resulting impact with the boards and reckless endangerment caused satisfies the requirements of Rule 41.4

41.4. MAJOR PENALTY AND GAME MISCONDUCT PENALTY

The Referee, at their discretion, may assess a Major and a Game Misconduct Penalty if, in their judgment, the Player recklessly endangers their opponent by “boarding” and the player would not be sufficiently sanctioned by imposing a Major Penalty. Such assessment of reckless endangerment shall be based on the severity of the infraction, severity of the contact, the degree of violence and the general reprehensibility involved.

The player receives 5 penalty points and is free to play subject to accumulated penalty points

Leeds Knights #6 Ethan Hehir

The penalties assessed at 58:26 a 5 + game misconduct Fighting meet the standard for equal and willing combatants under IHUK in house Rule 46.

Fighting in the last 5 minutes has a mandatory game misconduct and a 1 game suspension.

The player will receive 5 penalty points and a mandatory 1 game suspension

Bristol Pitbulls # 91 Mason Lipsey

The penalties assessed at 58:26 a 5 + game misconduct Fighting meet the standard for equal and willing combatants under IHUK in house Rule 46.

Fighting in the last 5 minutes has a mandatory game misconduct and a 1 game suspension.

The player will receive 5 penalty points and a mandatory 1 game suspension
