Top 3 NIHL Players of Week 18

Top 3 NIHL Players of Week 18
With week 18 of the NIHL in the books, these are the three stand out players from the weekend.

1. Duncan Speirs

It was a great weekend for the Peterborough Phantoms and Duncan Speirs as he helped his team to a four-point weekend. He returned back to his home country to face the Solway Sharks and across the weekend in the double header, he scored two goals and assisted a further two. With many absences from the Phantoms team, Duncan really stepped up and contribute to come big goals.

2. Noah McMullin

The Canadian defensemen has had a fantastic season so far with the Leeds Knights and this was one of his best yet! The Knights only conceded one goal across the two games and Noah also scored twice on the Saturday in Bristol. Then on Sunday got another assists in the Knights 6-1 victory at home. The Knights have conceded the least amount of goals in the NIHL and McMullin is a huge part of that.

3. Ralfs Circenis

Since joining the Berkshire Bees, Ralfs has had a big impact on the team and this Sunday was another big game from him. After beating Leeds the week before the Bees had another tough matchup at home against the Lightning but the team secured a big 4-2 victory with Ralfs scoring the goal to tie it up at 2-2. He then assisted in the game winning goal and had a three point night. He has really helped with scoring since joining the Bees.

Honourable mentions:

Emil Svec scored three goals across the weekend including a game winner with 32 seconds left. Walker Sommer scored a hat-trick on Sunday night to help defeat the Romford Raiders. Max Wright saved 56/58 shots on Sunday night in the Bees big win. And Jake Bricknell scored 5 goals across the weekend to take his tally to 33 goals on the season. Despite the Raider losing both games, Shaun Miller scored 9 points across the two games.
