The Hull Seahawks sign Johnny Corneil from the Manchester Storm on a season-long loan

With the departure of Kaden Hanas this morning, Hull Seahawks Head Coach Matty Davies has made a big decision to bring in Corneil.

The 27-year-old spent five years playing in the OHL for the Niagara IceDogs and captained the side in his final season where he scored 48 points in 64 games.

He then made the move to the USports where he spent four years playing for the Acadia Univ. In those four seasons, he averages half a point a game.

He then ventured to Europe for the first time where he played in Norway for Ringerike scoring an impressive 32 points in 48 games.

Last season, he then came to the UK where he signed for the Manchester Storm and scored 16 points. Corneil re-signed for the Storm this season but has decided to move down to the NIHL where he will get a bigger role in Matty Davies's team.

Corneil will continue to skate in Manchester and remain part of the Storm organisation as the Seahawks and Storm have formed that strong connection.
