Hull Seahawks #71 Emil Svec
The DRS review is upheld.
The checking player Hull #71 checks the Leeds #18 from behind through the numbers with the arms being extended throwing the player forwards into the boards causing reckless endangerment.
The check meets the requirements of Rule 43.3 Checking from behind This has been assessed as a 5+game Misconduct Penalty which will carry 5 penalty points and in addition as a Tariff 1 offence the player is suspended for 1 game.
Hull Seahawks #74 Lee Bonner
The DRS review is upheld.
The Hull Player #74 checks Leeds player #95 off the play and this is not a legitimate hockey play.
The check is made with the arm low and across his chest and the contact is made with the upper arm into the hands and stick of #95 and then through the central chest area, the hands and stick of 95 are then forced upwards into the players own face/neck area, this does not meet the requirements of Rule 48 illegal check to the head.
However, it meets the requirements of Rule 56 Interference under the "Late hit Criteria".
A “late-hit” constitutes reckless endangerment of a Player who “no longer has control or possession of the puck”.
The PINIHL GRP assess this as meeting the standard of 56.4 Major Penalty
This will be assessed as a 5-minute major only and the player will receive 1 penalty point and is free to play subject, to accumulated penalty points.
Hull Seahawks #96 Owen Sobchak
The DRS review has no outcome.
This incident does not meet the requirements of any ruling for a major & game misconduct penalty and would only be assessed as a penalty at the discretion of the officials.
Therefore, no outcome is determined and no review has been lost.
