The Swindon Wildcats sign Vanya Antonov!

The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats confirmed the signing of Vanya Antonov from the Berkshire Bees for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.

Vanya, a 27-year-old British forward, arrives in Swindon after an agreement between the Wildcats and the Bees was reached. So far this season Vanya is third on the Bees scoring with 32 points in 28 games.

Having recently been a member of the Bees, Vanya has previously spent time with the Basingstoke Bison & Streatham Redhawks in South 1. He also was a member of the Coventry Blaze during the EIHL Series in 2021.

Speaking after adding Vanya to his lineup Head Coach Aaron Nell said:

I’m absolutely delighted to be adding a player to our lineup of Vanya’s calibre at this stage of the season. Swindon fans will know how good he is and he’ll add some firepower to our offence. He’s a smooth skater with a good shot and I’m excited to see him in our team for the second half of the season.

Swindon fans will be eager to see Vanya when he makes his debut on Saturday 11th January against the Sheffield Steeldogs.
