The Telford Tigers bring in two new imports
With some injury troubles with Devon Skoleski and the release of Zach Yokoyama this freed up two import slots for the Telford Tigers. Both David and Eric join the Tigers from the Polish league team, ‘STS Sanok’
David Thomson:
David is a 27-year old Centre-man who started his career is the OJHL, where he recorded some impressive numbers, over a point per game.
Fast forward a couple seasons, he then went to the USports where a lot of NIHL imports have played. He joined the University of Toronto and in the 19/20 season he scored 40 points in just 27 games. The final two years of his USports journey were slowed down due to Covid.
He then did a short spell in the ECHL for the Wichita Thunder scoring 6 points in 23 games.
David then ventured to Europe where he signed for a Swedish team in the HockeyEttan called Vimmerby HC. In that season he scored an impressive 20 points in 23 games for the team.
After that season he went back to America to play in the SPHL for one season before going back out to europe in Poland where he struggled to generate the points he had been getting throughout his career with just two in 10 games. And now he has signed a deal with the Tigers.
Eric Henderson:
Eric is a 26-year old winger and after spending his junior seasons in the GOJHL he got the opportunity to play in the OHL for the London Knights , where his teammates included current NHL stars such as: Mitch Marner, Evan Bouchard and Matthew Tkachuk.
In that short season he scored 6 points in 16 games and he then moved to the Oshawa Generals in that same season scoring a much improved 18 points in 30 games. He stayed at Oshawa for the next three seasons and in his final season he got the Assistant Captain.
After his four years in the OHL, he then did four years in the USports and picked up some good points. His best season being 14 points in 22 games for the Acadia Univ.
After University he then did one final year in America in the SPHL before venturing abroad to Poland where he played for STS Sanok with David Thomson. Like David he made the decision to move to the Tigers mid season for a fresh start.
